How do I install Eye-Dasher on my device?

How do I set up Eye-Dasher for first use?

After installing Eye-Dasher, open the app and follow the on-screen tutorial. You'll need to grant necessary permissions for camera, microphone, location, and storage. Then, mount your phone in a secure dashboard or windshield mount with a clear view of the road. The app will guide you through optimal positioning and settings configuration.

How much storage space does Eye-Dasher use?

Eye-Dasher uses loop recording to manage storage efficiently. By default, it will use up to 2GB of storage, but you can adjust this in settings. When storage is full, the app automatically overwrites the oldest footage (except for locked recordings from collision detection). Premium subscribers can also enable cloud backup for important recordings.

How do I access my recorded videos?

To access your recordings, open Eye-Dasher and tap on the "Gallery" tab at the bottom of the screen. Here you'll find all your recordings organized by date. Locked recordings from collision detection are marked with a lock icon. You can play, share, or delete recordings from this screen.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, you'll need to do so through your app store account settings, not through the Eye-Dasher app directly. For iOS, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. For Android, open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions. Find Eye-Dasher in your list of subscriptions and tap "Cancel Subscription."

Solutions to common issues with Eye-Dasher

App Crashes or Freezes

  1. Close all background apps to free up memory
  2. Restart your device
  3. Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements (iOS 13+ or Android 8+)
  4. Update to the latest version of Eye-Dasher
  5. If problems persist, uninstall and reinstall the app

Poor Video Quality

  1. Clean your phone's camera lens
  2. Ensure proper mounting position with clear view
  3. Check video quality settings in the app (Settings > Video > Quality)
  4. Ensure adequate lighting or enable Night Vision mode in low light
  5. Check if your phone case is obstructing the camera

GPS Not Working

  1. Ensure location permissions are granted
  2. Enable high-accuracy location mode in device settings
  3. Ensure you have a clear view of the sky
  4. Restart the app and your device
  5. Update to the latest version of Eye-Dasher

Battery Drain Issues

  1. Connect your device to a car charger while using Eye-Dasher
  2. Lower video quality settings to reduce processing power
